Steve Amadeo! (& DB)

Steve speelde in de band van Ian Parker en omdat die solo optreedt, speelt hij op dit moment bij Ainsley. Gelukkig rijden ze wel in een 'Parkers' auto ;-))

Steve used to play in the Ian Parker band - and since Ian is playing solo he now plays with Ainsley. Good to see that they are driving in a 'Parkers' car :-)))

Druk weekje -busy week

Goh, wat kan er veel gebeuren in een week!
Woensdag Lynette Anderson in de winkel, en vandaag Reiko Kato. Wat geweldig leuk!
Daarnaast staat de boel thuis ook niet stil. Maandag- en dinsdagavond is er hard gewerkt aan de grootste brillenpoetsdoek van Amersfoort en kijk 'm eens hangen, 120 x 160 cm échte brillendoekjes:

En dit weekend heeft het hele gezin 'dienst': enveloppen insteken en rondbrengen in de wijk rondom de winkel. Ben zó benieuwd wie de eerste witte brillendoek uit de ton trekt!!

A lot can happen in one week: on Wednesday we had Lynette Anderson in the shop, and today Reiko Kato. Fantastic! 

At home we were quite busy too. Monday- and Tuesday evening we made our largest cleaning cloth for glasses: 120 x 160 cm and look how it is displayed! Tonight we were preparing the enveloppes, and this weekend the whole family is 'in full service': to deliver the enveloppes in the area around the shop.

Nieuw project - new project

Gisteren hebben we de hele dag plannetjes gemaakt voor een actie in de (brillen)winkel van DH. Hij heeft het bedacht, en samen hebben we 'geraapt' en genaaid. En hier is het al bijna klaar:

de grootste brillenpoetsdoek van Amersfoort!

in één baan ontbreekt een poetsdoek met het logo van de winkel. Als je die in de winkel uit de 'grabbelton' weet te vinden, krijg je 50% procent korting op een montuur van welk merk dan ook. Lollig hè!

Yesterday we were planning an sale promotion for my DH shop (he is an optician). He came up with this idea: to make the largest cleaning cloth of Amersfoort. Together we put it together and sewed it. In one strip the signed cloth is missing, if you come to the shop and manage to grab that one out of a box, you'll get 50% of your glasses. Great fun I think!

Onderweg naar huis in de auto is er heel wat afgelachen, want Gerda, laat eens zien: wat zijn jouw souvenirs...een pak meel en een ruitenwisser;-))??? 

In the car on the way back home we had a lot of laughter, because Gerda showed her souvenirs: oatmeal and a screenwiper ;-))???

 Vanmiddag was ik op les bij deze zeer inspirerende dame: Kathy Doughty. Ze leerde ons te werken met de mallen van haar patronen en 

tussen de bedrijven door kregen we heel wat tips. Geweldig!

This afternoon I was taking a course with this very inspiring lady: Kathy Dougthy. She teached us to work with the templates of her quilts and she gave us many tips. It was great!

Na wat snij- en naaiwerk is de rechter mijn ' zonnetje'! After some cutting and sewing the right one is my 'little sun'!
Snel en ontzèttend leuk om te doen! Fast and great fun to do!
